OK, but usually this years pick should ,all things considered, get a premium over future years picks. No big deal though.

Veto (3.5-1)
this trade is a trade down with nothing gained. It makes no sense but to help a team for no reason.

I agree with the Commish on this one. I can't think of one good reason why the Texans would make this trade. I could see a trade of a high 2014 2nd round pick fot a 2015 1st, but the other way around makes very little sense.
I could easily see a trade of the 2015 1.32 for the Jets 2015 1st. That makes sense for both sides.
EDIT:
I had a quick look at the trade again, and I caight something that was not apparent before: the 1.32 costs $3.15 in this year's draft. That's $1.15 more than it would cost on the rookie salary scale. So esssentially, Houston is trading an "overpay" pick and taking a lower pick in return.

Let me explain my thoughts on this.
Original strategy was to obtain 1.32 / 2.01 for initial rookie draft. Got an offer for 2.01 that I couldn't pass up. Now my focus has shifted to 2015 1st and 2nd round picks. I couldn't get a 2015 1st round with my overpriced 1.32 pick, so I settled on a 2nd round. It is a roll of the dice as I may end up with 2.32 next year, but Ill take that over a 1.32 pick at $3.15mil/yr that may not pan out.
Sorry for not including this in the initial trade post

approve 3.5 + .5 = 4.
I have to tell you guys I really hate this trades must be approved by vote deal. We are all big boys and should be able to run our teams as we see fit.Trades are in the eye of the beholder something that might look ugly to some maybe the best thing since sliced bread to others.Unless a trade is obviously collusion or so one sided it could to harm to the league I think all trades should stand. One of the most enjoyable part of this game is trading and I really like to do it but I may have to put the brakes on my trading in this league because nothing will bow me up faster than someone disallowing a trade that I have worked out with another team. Just my 2 cents.

I approve (5-1) I also think that moving this year overpriced picks is a fine strategy, as I did, although he probably could have gotten more between the auction draft and the rookie draft. Eh, your loss texans.

Unless a trade is obviously collusion or so one sided it could to harm to the league I think all trades should stand. That's the whole point of having a trade commission. This is a big league with big incentives to cheat, so best to have safeguards in place in case that happens. I'm scratching my head at this one but I'll approve it. 7-1
